Our bodies are quite adept at repairing themselves. I use methods that aid that natural ability with modalities such as:
Massage therapy has many well known benefits such as:
Reducing stress
Increasing relaxation
Improved mobility and flexibility
Improving circulation
Increased energy levels
Improved sleep
Lowering heart rate and blood pressure
Improving immune function
All of the above are vital for mental and physical well being. When our mind, body and spirit is healthy and thriving, we thrive and so do those around us.
I have had a fascination with living a healthy, natural life for as long as I can remember. My inspiration came from my late great aunt, who had a passion for all things natural and good food!
10 years ago I studied Swedish Body Massage at a local college and I absolutely loved it. Giving people the gift of feeling good and helping with their aches and pains really made my heart sing. Not long after, I passed a Level 4 Diploma in Nutrition with a Distinction. I have always loved food and found the science of how it can be used to help heal our bodies fascinating.
During the first lock-down I decided I wanted a career change. I always knew I wanted to work with people and to help them, but never knew how best to do this. During lock-down it gave me time to think about how I could achieve this and combine it with something I love doing. I also needed to find a job that could fit in around school as I have 2 small children, becoming my own boss seemed like a no brainer!
I found a local tutor teaching a VTCT Level 3 in Complementary Therapies and signed up to her course. I am now fully qualified and have gone on to train in Zone Face Lift, Facial Reflexology and Fertility and Maternity Reflexology.
