I originally trained with Louise Keet, author of The Reflexology Bible and principle of the London School of Reflexology to offer Fertility, Pregnancy & Natural Labour Reflexology. Recently, I have completed training with Barbara Scott. She is Chair of The Association of Reproductive Reflexologists, founder of Seren Natural Fertility and author of Reflexology for Fertility
Not everyone is able to conceive naturally or easily. For some, the journey is longer and requires more support. Fertility reflexology aims to help restore the body's natural balance and create the perfect environment within the mind, body and spirit to conceive.
This treatment is suitable for men and women struggling to conceive. Most clients have a session each week for one menstrual cycle, until it is regulated. Followed by 1 treatment around ovulation and 1 treatment a week later to aid potential implantation. The frequency of treatments can be discussed at the time of your consultation to find what works best for you. Ideally, treatments should begin before you start conception to ensure your mind and body are in the best possible place to support a healthy pregnancy.
Fertility reflexology can be used alongside IVF to support you during your journey.
For maternity reflexology, research has shown that receiving regular reflexology during pregnancy helps with minor pregnancy ailments and the effects of reflexology on labour outcomes can be outstanding. A group of first time mothers who received 10 reflexology treatments leading up to the birth of their babies had an average labour time of between 5-6 hours as opposed to the average of 16-24 hours. Post Natal Reflexology
I also offer post natal reflexology. Whether you had a straightforward or complicated birth, reflexology can help you adjust to your new life by promoting relaxation, decreasing anxiety and rebalancing your hormones. I can focus on physical or emotional aspects to help you recover from the birth.
Babies are welcome! Bringing your baby with you is a wonderful way to deepen your connection and honour the 4th trimester. The appointment is slightly longer to allow for extra time to care for baby, if needs be.
Please note, I am on the first floor of The Chic House, I can assist you with carrying the pushchair carry cot or car seat up stairs.
Equally, if you want to come to the appointment on your own and enjoy some well deserved "you time" this is absolutely fine.
What will happen during your appointment?
If you are seeing me for fertility treatment we will discuss, in detail, your fertility journey so far, your lifestyle and any medical test results you or your partner have had. Once we have discussed this, I build a treatment plan together that suits you and your life. If you are a returning client, I shall check in with you to see how you are and discuss any potential health changes.
You will be invited onto my massage couch, I shall have extra pillows and bolsters to hand if you are pregnant to ensure you are comfortable the whole time. If you need to get up and move around during your treatment, that is absolutely fine, although you will most likely be asleep!
For those seeing me for natural labour reflexology, at the end of your treatment, I can show you points to work on at home to help prepare your body for labour.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
When you come for a treatment I will give you 100% of my time and attention. I will ensure that I am prepared and ready for your treatment with me. Whilst I appreciate that sometimes, emergencies crop up at the last minute, I do need to ensure my time is filled so I can offer my services to as many people as possible.
Deposit are required on all bookings.
When booking an appointment with Wholesome Holistics you are automatically adhering to the business policies.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice will result in a 50% charge (your deposit will be retained).
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in a 100% charge.
Any no show appointments will also be charged 100% of the total treatment. You will be required to pay outstanding fees for cancellations, rescheduling and no shows before rebooking, The remaining balance of all appointments must be paid for at the time of treatment by either card or cash.
If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, I reserve the right to shorten your treatment time and you will be liable to cover the full treatment cost.
Appointments may only be rescheduled once, if it is requested to be rescheduled again a new 50% deposit is to be paid and the original deposit kept.
