I have trained with Louise Keet, author of The Reflexology Bible and principle of the London School of Reflexology to offer Fertility, Pregnancy & Natural Labour Reflexology.
Not everyone is able to conceive naturally or easily. For some, the journey is longer and requires more support. Fertility reflexology aims to help restore the body's natural balance and create the perfect environment within the mind, body and spirit to conceive.
This treatment is suitable for men and women struggling to conceive. Most clients have a session each week for up to 12 weeks. The frequency of treatments can be discussed at the time of your consultation to find what works best for you.
Research has shown that receiving regular reflexology during pregnancy helps with minor pregnancy ailments and the effects of reflexology on labour outcomes can be outstanding. A group of first time mothers who received 10 reflexology treatments leading up to the birth of their babies had an average labour time of between 5-6 hours as opposed to the average of 16-24 hours. Post Natal Reflexology
I also offer post natal reflexology. Whether you had a straightforward or complicated birth, reflexology can help you adjust to your new life by promoting relaxation, decreasing anxiety and rebalancing your hormones. I can focus on physical or emotional aspects to help you recover from the birth.
Babies are welcome! Bringing your baby with you is a wonderful way to deepen your connection and honour the 4th trimester. The appointment is slightly longer to allow for extra time to care for baby, if needs be.
Please note, I am on the first floor of The Chic House, I can assist you with carrying the pushchair carry cot or car seat up stairs.
Equally, if you want to come to the appointment on your own and enjoy some well deserved "you time" this is absolutely fine.
What will happen during your appointment?
If you are seeing me for fertility treatment we will discuss, in detail, your fertility journey so far, your lifestyle and build a treatment plan together that suits you and your life. If you are a returning client, I shall check in with you to see how you are and discuss any potential health changes.
You will be invited onto my massage couch, I shall have extra pillows and bolsters to hand if you are pregnant to ensure you are comfortable the whole time. If you need to get up and move around during your treatment, that is absolutely fine, although you will most likely be asleep!
For those seeing me for natural labour reflexology, at the end of your treatment, I can show you points to work on at home to help prepare your body for labour.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
When you come for a treatment I will give you 100% of my time and attention. I will ensure that I am prepared and ready for your treatment with me. Whilst I appreciate that sometimes, emergencies crop up at the last minute, I do need to ensure my time is filled so I can offer my services to as many people as possible.
If you arrive to your treatment late, I reserve the right to reduce the time of your treatment or cancel if there is not enough time to carry out your treatment before my next client arrives. The treatment cost will still be full price.
No shows and cancellations within 24hrs will be required to pay 100% of treatment cost. Any future bookings will be required to be paid for upfront to secure the booking.
Treatments may only be moved twice. If a request is made for a treatment to be moved a third time, the treatment will be cancelled and any future bookings will require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure the booking.
We operate a card capture system at The Chic House, this is used to protect us against no shows. Card details must be entered to secure your booking. No money is taken from your account.
